On modern social change campaigns, field organizing and digital organizing have merged. We meet supporters at the doorstep and on their smartphones.
Do you want to grow your supporters list? Do you want to to generate more donations and actions from your emails and social media posts? Do you want to improve your use of digital tools to move supporters to real world actions? Are you unsure which of the many social media and communications channels to use to engage your supporters?
In Digital Campaigning, you’ll learn how to design digital engagement strategies to engage your supporters using a full range of digital tools: petitions, social media, email blasts, surveys, texting and more. You’ll learn how to write compelling emails and social media posts to move your supporters to action, and how to optimize your digital campaigns to bring the widest possible audience to your actions. This is a 2-day hands on workshop where you will learn frameworks for effective digital campaigns, then use the skills right away on your own campaign or a case study. You can expect to leave with a to-do list to make your digital work more effective and a deeper understanding of how to use digital tools.
Who is it for?
Digital Campaigning is for anyone working or volunteering on social change campaigns who wants to up their digital campaigning skill set. Whether you’re a volunteer at a small grassroots campaign, or a staff member at a large union, you’ll learn skills and concepts to take your work to the next level.
