Canvassing for Change
Calgary | February 23
Edmonton | February 24
Campaigns are won on the ground – at the doorstep and on the phone. Paid ads and social media posts can be part of an effective election campaign, and no one ever won a contested campaign without talking directly to voters.
Canvassing for Change applies principles of community organizing to build large volunteer canvassing teams. Building off of best practices from the last 10 years of US Democrat campaigns, and field-tested and refined by progressives in Canada, Canvassing for Change teaches the practical and hands on skills needed to win.
Who is it for?
Canvassing for Change is for any staff or volunteers running campaigns that need to operate large-scale field operations to have thousands of person-to-person conversations to win. Organizers and volunteers on campaigns to elect candidates, win referenda, or insert an issues-based campaign into an election conversation are all good candidates for this training.
